Peep-Toe Heels

I'm not sure what's feminine&sweeter than peep-toe heels. Purple. Shiny. Bow. Perfect.

...with another feminine&sweet thing, precious Eugenie.
I was going through my closet trying to find a pair of tennis shoes to pack for a camping trip this weekend, and I found these beauties instead. I never wear them. I bought them at a small shop in Rome about five years ago. I should wear them, but probably not when I go camping this weekend.

Lake Superior

Water. Wind. Sun. Reflection. Soothing. Horizon. Dangerous. Languid. Power. Sparkle. Splashing. Clean. Textures. And pretty, of course.

I'm vacationing on the north shore, so permit me my nature photos. Lake Superior is gorgeous in the sunlight.

Chocolate Truffles

Truffles. Chocolate. Irish creme. Raspberry. Creme de menthe. Decadence. Temptation. Indulgence. Delicious. Delectable. Adorable.

Bought these after this morning's drive up with family to the rocky north shore. Truffles are the best kind of chocolate. They're ritzy and romantic and divinely delicious. Creme de menthe tasted the most heavenly (and was also the prettiest).

Lady Baltimore Suitcase

Suitcase. Travel. Jet-setting. Style. Class. Elegance. Independence. Freedom. Excitement. Expectation. Potential. Adventure. Ginger Rogers starring as Fred Astaire's damsel in distress at the train station, crying "Porter! Oh porter!"

I found this piece of Lady Baltimore luggage at an antique store a few years ago, and I got it out of my closet today to pack my things for a small trip up north with some family. Its white color, rounded edges, and silky purple interior demand a pillbox hat and a 1940s pencil skirt. Travel in style, and Fred Astaire will follow. (It worked for Ginger.)

White Hydrangeas

Flowers. Fun. Whoville. Delicate. Intricate. Blooming. Scented. Vintage. Gardens. Sunshine. Mother. Summer. Nature. Nurture.

These are in my front yard, in my mother's garden, in full bloom. Someone should throw some red lipstick on, step into a wedding dress from 1935, and pose with them immediately.
